GEOGRAPHY: LANDSCAPE





This landscape is in the Northe Pole. Is a polar climate that is situated at the cold zone. Annual temperatures are below 0ºC and they are even lower at higher altitudes, and rainfall is low. Precipitation falls mostly as snow; but at high latitudes snow is limited. Winter lasts eight months approximately,  and in summer it is very difficult to exceed 0ºC.
At the background we can see mountains of snow (glaciers) and the water that is very cold.
One of the animals that most represents the Arctic wildlife is the polar bear, but there are more like seals or penguins...
I chose this landscape because I like it.

LAND AND COASTAL RELIEF:
ESTUARY

- Plateau: large areas of flat or slightly hilly.
- Plains: large areas of flat or slightly hilly, smaller than a plateau.
- Glacier: large mass of ice.
- Stream: flow of water.
- Delta: accumulation of materials.
- Estuary: mouth of a river open to the sea.
- Gulfs: are deep inlets of the sea.
- Beaches: are formed by the accumulation of the sand and gravel.
- Capes: are large areas of hight coastal land.
- Cliffs: are high rock faces at the edge of the sea.
- Continental shelf: is the land that is underwater.
- Abyssal plain: is a large expanse of land.
- Continental slope: is the incline from the continental platform down to the abyssal plain.

DESERTS AND RAINFOREST:

- Cactus: a plant spiny, usually with flowers.
- Tail: the posterior part of an animal.
- Insulation: sun rays hitting the Earth surface.
- Fall: the same as autunm.
